Hello, finally thought I'd update after so much has happened.
I have returned home to visit my parents for the holidays. I have spent Christmas and New Years here, and was preparing to enter a mission pilot school in Spokane, WA that was planning on opening in January this year, but unfortunately those plans were canceled due to international paperwork not being returned from the government in time. Maybe next year. In the meantime, I am inches away from completing my Private Pilot's license. This has been a goal for me since I decided to become a missionary pilot. I will continue studying here to complete the requirements until mid-march. After that I would like to visit some family in Chicago, IL.
A funny thing. I have a new job - delivering sugary pastries! I am a vegan vegetarian and low-sugar, high-fiber in my cooking. How do I then justify the job I have? It pays the student loans and allows me to keep working toward my goal as a mission-pilot. I am working for my Dad's former co-worker and enjoy the upbeat environment and witnessing to the people I meet on the job. It's a tough job to pull with a 4:30am start time and a 12:00pm (give or take) typical finishing time, MWF. Ezekiel was a cup-bearer, meaning he served fermented wine to a king as part of his duties. I can identify.
Anyway, that's what's going on for now. I'll put some pictures on later.
God Bless,
Scott
